Terms of Service

Effective 15 July 2026 · Last updated 16 July 2026

Trading involves substantial risk. TraderReflect is a journal and analytics platform. It is not a broker, not a trading advisor, and does not place or manage trades. Read Section 6 (Trading Risk Disclosure) before continuing.

1. Who these terms are between

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or the “User”) and Dannon Jake von und zu Liechtenstein, operating as a sole proprietor based in St. Gallen, Switzerland (“TraderReflect”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Terms govern your access to and use of the TraderReflect website at traderreflect.com, the associated web application, and any related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, clicking “I agree” on the sign-up screen, or accessing the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service you must:

  • be at least eighteen (18) years old;
  • have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction;
  • not be a resident of, or located in, any country or territory subject to Swiss or EU sanctions, or otherwise prohibited from receiving software or financial-technology services under applicable law; and
  • provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date (email address, name, time zone, and, where applicable, payment method details supplied through our payment processor).

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe any of the above is not or is no longer true.

3. Description of the Service

TraderReflect is a trade journaling, analytics, and behavioural coaching platform aimed primarily at futures traders operating personal or proprietary-firm (“prop firm”) accounts. The Service allows you to:

  • import your historical trading activity from supported brokers (via CSV upload or, where available, direct OAuth integration) and log new trades manually;
  • annotate trades with screenshots, notes, tags, self-grades, mood entries, and rule checklists;
  • maintain a written playbook of setups and rules, and grade daily adherence against them;
  • view aggregate analytics (P&L, win rate, profit factor, drawdown, discipline scores, and other derived metrics);
  • participate in gamification features (Reflect Points, achievements, streaks, tiers, weekly challenges, and — where opted-in — a leaderboard); and
  • redeem earned rewards, including cashback credits, per the terms of the Rewards catalogue.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, suspend, discontinue, or add to any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. Where a change materially reduces the Service you paid for during a paid billing period, Section 8 (Refunds) applies. For material changes to these Terms themselves, we give the notice described in Section 19. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service. We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any lawful reason, at our sole discretion.

4. Account registration and security

You may create an account with a password or via a supported social sign-in provider (currently Google). You are responsible for keeping your credentials — including any second-factor devices (passkey / TOTP authenticator app) and connected broker credentials — confidential. TraderReflect does not currently issue backup recovery codes; if you lose your only second factor and cannot access your password, contact support@traderreflect.com to begin manual identity recovery. You must:

  • use a strong, unique password;
  • enable multi-factor authentication if your account is used for prop-firm trading;
  • notify us promptly at security@traderreflect.com if you suspect any unauthorised access;
  • not share your account with any other person, and not create more than one account per natural person without our prior written consent.

You are responsible for every action taken through your account, whether by you or by anyone using your credentials. If you lose access to your account and to your recovery methods, we may be unable to restore your data.

5. Fees, free trial, and billing

5.1 Free trial

New accounts on a paid plan begin with a free trial. To start the trial, you must provide a valid payment method through our payment processor (currently Stripe). Your payment method is not charged during the trial, but the details are tokenised and stored by Stripe as an authorisation for future billing.

The trial length and applicable plan are displayed on the sign-up page at the time you subscribe.

5.2 Automatic renewal at end of trial

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged automatically at the then-current subscription price and will continue to be charged on each billing cycle thereafter (monthly or annually, as selected at sign-up). By starting the trial you authorise these recurring charges. You will receive a reminder email before the trial ends.

5.3 How to cancel

You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription in your account, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next scheduled charge; access continues until the end of the current paid period.

5.4 Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least thirty (30) days before a price change takes effect and may cancel before the new price applies. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5.5 Taxes

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and are exclusive of any applicable VAT, Swiss MWST, or similar taxes, which will be added and displayed at checkout where required.

6. Trading risk disclosure — read this carefully

Trading futures, options, foreign exchange, and other leveraged financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You may lose more than your initial investment. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

TraderReflect is a record-keeping and analytics tool. Nothing in the Service constitutes, and nothing in the Service should be interpreted as:

  • investment advice, financial advice, or a personalised recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or size any position;
  • a solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security, contract, or financial instrument;
  • a guarantee, warranty, or representation of any specific trading outcome, including any pass rate on a prop-firm evaluation or any funded-account earnings;
  • a substitute for your own due diligence, risk management, or the advice of qualified professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

Metrics displayed inside TraderReflect (including but not limited to profit factor, win rate, drawdown, R multiples, expectancy, discipline scores, and the proprietary TraderReflect Score) are derived from the data you or your broker supplies. They are provided for your own reflection and may contain errors, gaps, or misclassifications. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of your trading records and for any decisions you make.

Prop-firm disclaimer. TraderReflect is not affiliated with any proprietary trading firm. Your rights and obligations with respect to any prop-firm evaluation or funded account are governed solely by your agreement with that firm. Metrics inside TraderReflect are not a substitute for your prop firm’s own reporting and do not determine your compliance with a firm’s rules, drawdown limits, or payout eligibility.

Not a licensed advisor. TraderReflect is not authorised or licensed by FINMA (the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority), the U.S. CFTC or NFA, the UK FCA, or any equivalent regulator to provide financial services, investment advice, or brokerage activity. We do not hold, custody, or transfer client funds.

6.1 AI Coach output

The optional AI Coach feature uses third-party large language models (currently Anthropic Claude) to generate written commentary on your trading data, journal entries, and performance metrics. AI Coach output is automatically generated by a probabilistic model, may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or misleading, and does not constitute investment advice, financial advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument, or a substitute for the advice of a qualified professional.

AI Coach output is one signal among many for your own reflection. Do not act on AI Coach output without independently verifying the underlying trade data and consulting a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction where appropriate. Language models can “hallucinate” — produce confident-sounding text that is factually wrong, cite sources that do not exist, or misread numbers — and no automated safeguard eliminates that risk entirely. You are solely responsible for any trading, risk-management, or other decision you make, whether or not AI Coach output informed that decision.

The AI Coach is opt-in and disabled by default. Enabling it in Settings → Preferences → AI Coach means you consent to your trade data, journal entries, playbook rules, discipline scores, and related account context being transmitted to the model provider for the sole purpose of generating your requested commentary. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-flow disclosure. You can revoke AI Coach consent at any time from the same setting; revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before revocation.

The general disclaimers in this Section 6, the warranty disclaimer in Section 15, and the limitation of liability in Section 16 apply to AI Coach output on the same terms as the rest of the Service. TraderReflect is not liable for any trading decisions, losses, opportunity costs, or other damages arising from AI Coach output, including AI-generated errors, omissions, or hallucinations, to the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law.

7. Broker and third-party integrations

You may connect TraderReflect to third-party services, including trading brokers (currently Tradovate; NinjaTrader is supported via the same API). Broker connection today is via direct credential entry: you provide your broker username and password to us, we forward them to the broker’s official authentication endpoint over TLS, receive an access token, and store only that token (not the plaintext password) for subsequent read-only API calls. When you connect a broker account:

  • you authorise us to receive read-only data (orders, fills, accounts, and related metadata) from that broker for the purpose of populating your journal and analytics;
  • we do not, and are not authorised to, place, modify, cancel, or otherwise transact on your behalf;
  • the broker’s own terms and privacy policy continue to govern your relationship with that broker;
  • you may revoke our access at any time through the broker’s connected-apps settings or by removing the integration from TraderReflect’s Accounts page.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or completeness of data supplied by third parties, nor for any outages, misclassifications, or delays originating outside the Service.

8. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by mandatory Swiss consumer protection law or where we, at our sole discretion, agree otherwise in writing. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact billing@traderreflect.com within thirty (30) days of the charge and we will investigate in good faith.

Cashback credits, redeemed rewards, and Reflect Points have no monetary value outside the Service and are not refundable or exchangeable for cash except through the specific payout mechanisms described in the Rewards catalogue.

9. User content and licences

“User Content” means any content you upload, submit, or generate through the Service, including trades, notes, screenshots, playbook entries, tags, rule checklists, mood entries, and journal writings.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, display, and back up your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, maintaining, and improving the Service for you. We do not sell your User Content, do not use it to train general-purpose machine-learning models, and do not display it to other users except where you explicitly opt in.

Opt-in surfaces currently include: the opt-in leaderboard (which exposes only your first name, first initial of your last name, and selected performance stats — see the Privacy Policy), and the shareable P&L card feature. When you generate and share a P&L card, the image you download or share contains your P&L amount, instrument symbol, trade direction, setup name, your self-assigned grade, and (optionally) the display handle you configure at share time. Clicking “Share on X” opens twitter.com’s intent page in a new tab; anything you post from there is governed by X’s own terms and cookies.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload the User Content you provide and that your User Content does not infringe any third party’s rights or violate any law.

9.1 Copyright infringement claims (notice and takedown)

If you believe User Content hosted on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@traderreflect.com containing:

  • your full name, postal address, and email;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • a URL or clear description locating the allegedly infringing content on the Service;
  • a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf;
  • your electronic or physical signature.

We will review complete notices in good faith and remove or disable access to content we find likely to be infringing. If the affected user submits a counter-notice with a good-faith statement that the content was removed by mistake, we will forward it to you and, in the absence of a court order within ten (10) business days, restore the content. We terminate the accounts of users who are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices (three or more within a rolling twelve-month period).

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory Swiss law;
  • use automated means (crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers, or bots) to access, collect data from, or interact with the Service, except for personal API integrations scoped to your own account;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service, including rate limiting, multi-factor authentication, or account clustering;
  • create multiple accounts to abuse trials, referral bonuses, cashback, or any other promotional benefit;
  • upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • use the Service to provide competing analytics services to third parties without our prior written consent.

We may investigate suspected violations, remove or block content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful conduct to competent authorities.

11. Anti-abuse profiling

To detect and prevent fraud, multi-account abuse, and other harmful activity, we automatically group accounts that share characteristics such as IP address, payment-method fingerprint, browser user-agent, and language preferences. These groupings are used only for internal risk review and are described in the Privacy Policy under “Anti-abuse profiling”.

12. Administrative access and impersonation

For the purpose of user support, debugging, and abuse investigation, authorised TraderReflect administrators may temporarily impersonate your account — that is, view the Service as you see it and, where necessary to reproduce or fix an issue, take actions within the Service as your account. Every impersonation event is:

  • only available to a small, explicitly allow-listed group of administrators;
  • gated by multi-factor authentication and a short-lived admin step-up session;
  • recorded in an internal, tamper-resistant audit log; and
  • time-limited (currently 30 minutes per session, subject to change).

This is a standard support mechanism, but it is a real capability and we disclose it here so you understand what a support interaction can involve. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual property

The Service — including all software, design, text, graphics, interfaces, and derivative analytics (such as the TraderReflect Score and its underlying methodology) — is owned by TraderReflect or its licensors and is protected by Swiss and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of the Service to you. Except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.

“TraderReflect” and the TraderReflect logo are unregistered trademarks. You may refer to us in factual descriptions of your integration or use of the Service but may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our prior written consent.

14. Third-party services and links

The Service integrates with, and links to, third-party services (currently including Stripe and Stripe Identity, Google (OAuth sign-in), Supabase, Vercel and Vercel Analytics, Resend, Upstash, Anthropic when the AI Coach is enabled, Financial Modeling Prep and Yahoo Finance (server-side economic-calendar / ticker data), Cloudflare (edge caching for the ticker proxy), and supported brokers). The full and current sub-processor list is maintained in the Privacy Policy §10. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

15. Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that the Service will be free of bugs, security vulnerabilities, or service interruptions, or that any data supplied through the Service is accurate, complete, or reliable.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY SWISS LAW, TRADERREFLECT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages;
  • any loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or trading gains;
  • any loss or corruption of data beyond the direct cost of restoring it from your most recent backup;
  • any losses resulting from your trading decisions, prop-firm evaluations, or third-party service outages.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Swiss francs (CHF 100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Swiss law, including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or personal injury.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TraderReflect and its sole proprietor from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your User Content; (c) your use of the Service in violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) your trading activity or interactions with any broker or prop firm.

18. Suspension and termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cascades to your trades, notes, journals, screenshots, and other user-owned data. Some aggregated, anonymised, or audit-log data may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance; see the Privacy Policy for detail.

We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, or terminate any subscription, account, or access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, and without providing a reason, at our sole discretion. Grounds may include, but are not limited to, a violation (or reasonably-suspected violation) of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, chargeback or dispute activity, abuse detected through our anti-abuse systems (see Section 11), a legal or regulatory requirement, a business decision to discontinue the Service or a plan, or any other reason we deem appropriate. Where practicable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure a curable breach before terminating.

Where we cancel a paid subscription for a reason other than your breach of these Terms or applicable law, we will refund the pro-rata unused portion of your then-current billing period. Otherwise no refund is due and any unused Reflect Points, cashback balance, or reward redemptions may be forfeited.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 9, 13, 15, 16, 17, 20, and 21) will do so.

18.1 IP-based blocking

Separately from account-level suspension, we may block network requests originating from IP addresses associated with prior abuse, credential stuffing, scraping, denial-of-service activity, or other attack traffic. When an IP is blocked, requests from that address will return an HTTP 403 error before any authentication or route logic runs, meaning users on that address cannot reach the Service regardless of whether they hold a valid account. If you believe your IP has been blocked in error, contact support@traderreflect.com with the approximate time and location of the failed request so we can investigate.

19. Modifications to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will:

  • update the “Effective” date at the top of this page;
  • notify affected users by email or by an in-app banner; and
  • give at least fourteen (14) days’ notice before the change takes effect for existing paid subscribers, unless the change is required by law or is necessary to protect the security of the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service before that date.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including their existence, validity, or termination, will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory forum available to consumers under the law of their habitual residence.

20.1 Class-action and jury-trial waiver (United States residents)

If you are a resident of the United States and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and TraderReflect each waive any right to a jury trial and each waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding against the other. All disputes with US-resident users will proceed on an individual basis in the Swiss forum specified above, or (if that forum is unavailable to you as a US consumer) in your state or federal court of residence on an individual basis only.

21. Miscellaneous

21.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TraderReflect regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

21.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

21.3 No waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

21.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent, and any purported assignment without such consent is void. We may freely assign these Terms and all associated rights and obligations to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of substantially all assets, or by operation of law, with notice to you.

21.5 Time limit on claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim or cause of action you may have arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action first arises, or be permanently barred.

21.6 Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the Service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authority, pandemics, strikes, shortages of transportation or fuel, infrastructure failure, third-party service provider outages, or other similar causes.

21.7 No third-party beneficiaries

These Terms are for the sole benefit of you and TraderReflect and confer no rights on any third party.

21.8 Notices

Notices to us must be sent to legal@traderreflect.com. Notices to you will be sent to the email address associated with your account or posted in the Service.

21.9 Contact
