Risk Disclosure
1. General Futures & Forex Risk Disclosure
Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one’s financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
2. Hypothetical Performance Disclosure
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect trading results.
Where hypothetical data appears in TraderReflect: the “Spotted Setups” feature lets you log setups you saw but didn’t trade, along with a “would-have” P&L estimate based on the levels you record. These figures are hypothetical by construction — they represent a decision you did not actually execute. Screenshots and example numbers shown on our marketing pages, help articles, and onboarding flow are illustrative and do not represent any real account’s performance.
3. Testimonials Disclosure
Testimonials appearing on this website may not be representative of other clients or customers and are not a guarantee of future performance or success. Any individual results shown reflect that individual’s particular circumstances and are not typical.
4. No Advice — TraderReflect is a journal, not a broker or advisor
TraderReflect is a trading journal and behavioural-analytics platform. We do not provide investment advice, trade recommendations, buy/sell signals, or trade execution services. Nothing on this website, in the application, in emails we send, or in any AI-generated insight (including the AI Coach feature when enabled) constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All trading and investment decisions are yours alone.
TraderReflect is not a broker, futures commission merchant, introducing broker, commodity trading advisor, commodity pool operator, or registered investment adviser in any jurisdiction. If you need advice on whether trading futures is suitable for you, consult a qualified advisor licensed in your jurisdiction.
5. Third-party integrations — NinjaTrader & Tradovate
TraderReflect integrates with the Tradovate trading platform (owned by NinjaTrader Group, LLC) for the sole purpose of importing your executed trade history into your journal. NinjaTrader® is a registered trademark of NinjaTrader Group, LLC. No NinjaTrader company has any affiliation with the owner, developer, or provider of the products or services described on this website, or any interest, ownership, or otherwise, in any such product or service, or endorses, recommends, or approves any such product or service.
TraderReflect participates in the NinjaTrader Vendor Affiliate Program. When you sign up for a Tradovate or NinjaTrader account through a link on our website, we may receive a referral fee from NinjaTrader. This does not change what you pay and does not influence the trading decisions the platform makes on your behalf (of which there are none — TraderReflect does not execute trades). See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle the referral tracking.
6. Live-trade-room / educational content disclosure
Any educational content, examples, or walkthroughs we publish are for educational purposes only. All example trades presented in such content should be considered hypothetical and should not be expected to be replicated in a live trading account.
7. Virtual currencies
TraderReflect does not currently support virtual-currency instruments as a first-class integration. If you journal cryptocurrency trades manually, please review the relevant advisories from your local regulator on the risks of trading virtual currencies. For U.S. users the CFTC publishes advisories at cftc.gov.
